Yeah, us too. So we’re making it a reality one small step at a time and that first step is a digital one.
So here’s a little info about our new business venture.
Waterspoons was born of a love of bookshops and pubs, so while the search for the perfect premises goes on you can join us in the digital space. We wanted to create a safe space that championed Indie authors and was available to all with none of the exclusivity or long waiting lists of traditional book box services.
All of our designs are hand illustrated in house and can’t be found anywhere else. Here we make as many special editions as the people demand, we will never lock you out or force you to input passwords or stay up til midnight just to make the cut.

While we search for our perfect premises, the drinks are on hold but the ink is flowing. Right now online, you can purchase fantasy book boxes featuring special edition covers and hand-painted edges, with exclusive art and merch. Cute bookmarks featuring your favourite ships. Beautiful book journals, to log and rate all of your reads in one adorable place. And our new Aesthetic matching dust jackets. Rainbow bookshelves are gorgeous but they’re not for everyone and sometimes they’re not for every room. You’ve spent time picking the perfect shade of ‘Champagne Truffle Mushroom’ for your living space walls and now your bookshelves can match too. Select minimalist dust jackets for all your favourite hardbacks in a range of shades and display them in style.
WaterSpoons is also a great place to discover indie authors you may not have heard of. We support as many indie authors as possible and hope to be your first destination for fantasy and romance from giants of the craft to newbies going it alone.
Where we’re headed.
WaterSpoons will be a community for all lovers of books. A sanctuary for mamas who read. A get-out-of-jail-free card for book husbands who’ve left their shopping until Christmas Eve, a space free of the shame of shopping in the tiny “Teen” section to find good fantasy, a haven for all the lovers and all colours of the rainbow to find new books and a treasure trove of wonderful and undiscovered Indie gems.
